Navratra Celebrated at Kingdom of Dreams

Gurgaon: 3rd October 2014: Kingdom of Dreams India’s one and

ve entertainment destination has been celebrating the joyous festival of
Navratra for the past 4 years and this year the festivities with the vibrant
Dandiya Raas were celebrated with all the fervour, pomp and colour associated
with the festival. For three days the venue lit up with fairy lights
reverberated with all the joy and dancing of Dandiya Raas with visitors
celebrating the onset of the festive season with fun and unlimited frolic.
Navratra the nine day festival dedicated to the worship of the goddess Durga
who symbolizes the victory of good over evil ended with vivacity and
traditional fervour at India’s one of its kind location, Kingdom of Dreams!
For all three days beginning from 1st October
till 3rd October the evening was brought alive by singers Priyanka
Bhattacharya and Charit Dixit who sang and performed an eclectic mix of Bollywood music and Gujarati folk songs that urged the throngs of visitors to swing
in gay abandon in time to the beats. Barkat Band Troupe
and the Gujrati Garba Dance troupe mingled with the guests encouraging
them to keep in step with the infectious beats and got the crowds to indulge in
the fun of dancing Garba to the click of the Dandiya sticks. Traditional
costumes glittered, women attired in their imaginative best twirled and danced
to their heart’s content. Visitors were enchanted with the fun and magic of the
evening which was further enhanced by the huge number of gifts and prizes won
by the participants. Amongst the crowd were a number of International guests
who mesmerised by all the stunning traditional costumes and the exciting dancing
had tremendous fun joining in the festivities. The evening was made memorable
by all the different prizes which were given away for the Best Dancer and
Couple Dance, Best Comic Dancer, Best Group Dance, Best Personality, Special
Award for foreigners and Best Kid Dancer
